A Review of the Use of Output-Based Aid Approaches

Abstract
A paper on the use of output-based aid (OBA) approaches had been presented at the time of the IDA14 Mid-Term Review (MTR). While recognizing that it was still too early to draw definitive conclusions, the progress of the pilot program was welcomed and IDA was encouraged to selectively scale it up. This paper provides an update of the progress made over the last three years.
